Victor Adediji, a goal getter is a graduate of Civil Engineering and presently The Managing Director and founder of ADVAD LIMITED. Before joining ADVAD LIMITED in 2009, Adediji had worked for over fourteen years in Negris Limited where he started his carrier as a Civil Supervisor and rose to Senior Manager in the company. While in Negris, he was involved in supervising multimillion-dollar projects in the power, oil and gas sector.
These project include 15MW first phase and 10MW expansion of Shell Central Power Plant that powers the Industrial and Residential Areas in Port Harcourt, Rivers State, 30MW Power Plant for Shell Petroleum Development Company, Bonny Terminal, Bonny, Rivers State, first phase 30MW Rivers State Trans Amadi Power Plant, Port Harcourt, 6MW phase II Lekki Electrical Power System Upgrade (LEPSU II) for Chevron Nigeria Limited, Lekki, Lagos, first phase 10MW Island Power Plant Project, Marina Lagos.
ADVAD LIMITED under his management has been involved in several outstanding power projects including refurbishment of 7.6MW MWM diesel generating sets in Akute Water Works, Lagos State, 8.5MW PIPP LVI Genco’s Power Plant in Lekki, 3.8MW Ilupeju Power Plant, 5MW Lisabi Power Plant, 4MW Sapio Utilities Power Plant, Various power project feasibility Studies/Technical Advisory.
Adediji has worked as Consultants for international bodies like United Kingdom Agency for International Development (UKAID) Department for Infrastructure Development (DFID) through Nigeria Infrastructure Advisory Facility (NIAF) and Policy Development Facility (PDF II). He has also worked as consultant for United States Agency for International Development (USAID) through Power Africa Nigeria. He is the Project Manager that managed the first Phase of the Rural Electrification Agency’s Energizing Education Project Programme which consists of seven solar hybrid power plants within seven Federal Universities and two gas fired plants in two Federal Universities with one Teaching Hospital. The nine power plants cut across the six (6) geo-political zones of Nigeria which is been funded exclusively by the Federal Government of Nigeria.
Chief Technical Officer
holds a degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Lagos, and has undergone trainings in the engineering and management sphere in over seven countries including the United Kingdom, France and USA. He has 20 years experience in the power sector with his experience spanning through various multi-disciplinary power project with a combined installed capacity of over 1000MW. He has in these various projects risen from the level of field engineer to Executive director (projects) before joining ADVAD’s board of Directors. He has managed power projects involving EPC and commissioning including the 150MW Omoku Gas Turbine and 100MW Trans Amadi Gas turbine power stations in Rivers State, Egbema 338MW and Gbarain 225MW simple cycle power plant amongst others. He holds membership in COREN, NSE and the American Society of Mechanical Engineers. others.
Director Of Operations
Engr. Lateef Salami is a versatile power system engineer with two decades experience. He has extensive knowledge and experience of the Nigerian power sector having worked as consultant or contractor on various generation, transmission and distribution projects and facilities. An expert Protection, Control & Metering (PC&M) engineer, he was head of a team of engineers that handled the specialist commissioning activities on HV and MV power equipment such as Gas Turbine Generators (GTG), Generator Step up Transformers (GSUT), Generator Circuit Breakers (GCB), Isolated Phase Bus Ducts (IPBD) and Auxiliary Transformers of differing capacities at various electrical installations throughout Nigeria. Engr Salami is a specialist in integrity measurement and commissioning of Power plant and substation earthing systems. He has severally been involved in the deployment of cutting edge engineering solutions in onshore and offshore Oil & Gas facilities. With the privatisation of the power sector, Salami has severally been involved in the advocacy and protection of the rights of electricity consumers through his deep knowledge and understanding of energy sector policies and regulations in Nigeria. He is leading a team in the provision of energy accounting and revenue optimisation services to a power Distribution Company. He has attended various trainings, conferences, seminars and workshops both in Nigeria and Overseas with such organisations as Centrax Gas Turbines, Omicron, ABB and VATECH-Reyrolle. Having participated in various stages of EPC projects from conception to commissioning, operation and maintenance, Lateef has at various times been involved in either the design, specification, procurement, erection, installation, testing, commissioning startup and acceptance and/or maintenance of power equipment and facilities.
Director of Business Development & Client Support Services
Adekunle Sobanwa is an experienced engineer with over thirty years of diversified work experience in business development, project management and manufacturing in the industrial and energy sectors of the Nigerian economy. He has worked at senior management and strategic leadership levels in leading industrial and energy companies such as Cadbury Nigeria Plc, UAC Plc and Energy Company Plc where as business development and project manager, he supervised the engineering, procurement and installation of independent power plants for Lagos State Government and multi-nationals like Unilever, Nestle and Coca-Cola. An active participant in the deregulation of the electricity sector, Mr. Sobanwa brings on board extensive cross functional experience and deep sector knowledge of the electricity industry in Nigeria. Mr. Sobanwa has a B.Sc in Mechanical Engineering from University of Ibadan and an MBA from the University of Lagos.
Senior Manager (Special Projects)
Tope Opelusi is multi-disciplinary trained professional in the power space with Nine (9) years’ experience; he has been privileged to carry out several power project totaling over 40MW in Thermal plants and 12.5MW in renewable Solar Hybrid Plants. He has also carried out several Feasibility Studies, Energy & Efficiency Audits and managed a good number of special and project specific assignments successfully. He holds a B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering from the prestigious Obafemi Awolowo University and an MBA degree from the same institution. As an astute project manager with PMP membership, he is also a registered Engineer with COREN and the Nigeria Society of Engineers.
Barr. Wale Aro
Barr. Aro Olawale is a seasoned legal practitioner with over 13 years’ experience in commercial and corporate law spanning the banking, real estate, oil & gas, and the energy sector. He has extensive experience in legal advisory; corporate & commercial law, project financing, contract negotiating, and asset management. Over the years he has held various leadership positions such as: Zonal Legal Officer for Union Bank of Nigeria, Project manager at Cartlark International Ltd , Head legal Department at Hectagon power Limited and currently Company Secretary at Advad Limited.
